WHO WE NEED

As VEG grows, so does the need to scale our medical training. Our team is looking for an ambitious self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment. You will report to the Manager of Medical Training Operations and will work very closely to the Senior Director of New ER Doctor Education & the Director of New ER Doctor Critical Care. In this role, you will be the face of New ER Doctor education & will communicate cross-functionally with members of our frontlines and headquarters team. You are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our prestigious New ER Doctor training program for emergency veterinarians. 

The New ER Doctor Program is a 6-month mentorship program that transforms recent veterinary school graduates and practicing veterinarians into exceptional, highly-adept VEG emergency doctors. In 2024, 300+ doctors will be trained through this program.

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO

  • Work with leadership to generate and implement solutions to streamline program operations, increase efficiency, and scale medical training
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute weekly educational sessions streamed to doctors nationwide
  • Manage and update educational material in a learning management system
  • Work with subject matter experts to prepare, maintain, and update course content in our Learning Management System
  • Strategize with team to implement effective communication systems 
  • Proactively monitor learner progress and promptly address any areas of concern with the team
  • Manage the relationship between VEG and our training program vendors
  • Own logistics related to our hands-on training trips (this includes: travel, event planning, and creating itineraries) 
  • Create, distribute and collect surveys to audit program quality
  • Own budget vs. spend tracking for training trips

 

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Marketing, Business or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Slides, G-Mail)
  • Ability to critically think, creatively problem-solve, and translate insights into a plan of action
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Comfortable with public speaking, hosting meetings, and cross-functional collaboration 
  • High level of attention to detail; you’re laser-focused on quality
  • An energetic, enthusiastic focus on customer service with the learners as your primary customer
  • An eagerness to build relationships with doctors and teammates
  • Desire to be in a service-oriented environment
  • Enthusiasm and high level of interest in learning the ins and outs of operations in a high-growth, fast-moving business
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn more about the veterinary industry

  • Pay Range: $70,000 – $80,000 salary per year.
